Our firm was founded in January 1988. After spending our first 35 years in Upper Montclair, in February 2023 we moved our headquarters to Montvale. From our Bergen County office, we are proud to continue to represent employees throughout the state in a wide range of work-related claims and disputes.
What Is Employment Law?Employment law relates to the legal rights that employees have under federal, state and local law. For example, it includes the rights relating to certain forms of workplace discrimination, harassment and retaliation. It also includes issues relating to employment contracts, severance agreements, non-compete provisions and other similar agreements.
Employment law also includes many other issues and legal claims, including wrongful termination and disputes involving family leaves, medical leaves and reasonable accommodations for disabilities, pregnancy and religious beliefs, as well as wage and hour disputes including claims such as ones relating to unpaid commissions, overtime pay, or minimum wage.
Generally, employment law does not include rights that apply only to union members. Rather, that is called labor law.

About MontvaleThe Borough of Montvale is located in Bergen County, New Jersey. According to the 2020 United States census, it has a population of approximately 8,500 and an area of just over 4 square miles. In 1894, Montvale was incorporated as a borough from parts of what was then Orvil Township and Washington Township. Today, it neighbors Park Ridge, River Vale, Upper Saddle River and Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, as well as Pearl River and Chestnut Ridge, New York.
The Borough is easily accessible from the Garden State Parkway exit 172. It is home to a variety of attractions, including DePiero’s Farm Stand and Greenhouses and the Pantophobia Haunted Attraction. Businesses located in Montvale include Mercedes-Benz Group, Benjamin Moore, KPMG, Sharp Business Systems, PIM Brands, a Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, a Wegmans Supermarket, Montvale Lanes bowling alley, the Shoppes at DePiero Farm, St. Joseph Regional High School and many bakeries, restaurants, and parks.
