Information About Ridgewood

Located in Bergen County, New Jersey, the Village of Ridgewood is approximately 5.8 square miles. Ridgewood took its current name in the 1860’s. Prior to that, it was known as Godwinville after Revolutionary War hero Abraham Godwin. The Village did not officially incorporate until March 1876.

Ridgewood borders Paramus, Glen Rock, Washington Township, Ho-Ho-Kus, Midland Park, Waldwick, Wyckoff and Hawthorne. It is home to The Valley Hospital. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of approximately 26,000 residents.

Traveling From Ridgewood to Our Montvale Law Firm

It is easy to get to Rabner Baumgart Ben-Asher & Nirenberg, P.C. from Ridgewood.  Depending on your exact location, you can either take the Garden State Parkway, or streets.  By streets, follow East Ridgewood Avenue toward Cottage Place.  Turn left onto North Maple Avenue, which changes names to Sheridan Avenue and then to West Saddle River Road.  You then take a right onto East Allendale Avenue, followed quickly by a left onto East Saddle River Road.  When you reach Lake Street, turn right.  After Lake Street becomes West Grand Avenue, you will turn left onto Summit Avenue, followed quickly by a left hand turn onto Chestnut Ridge Road.  Our office is at the next right, at 135 Chestnut Ridge Road in Montvale, New Jersey.  We are on the second floor, in Suite 230.
